Gastronomy in SPAIN?

¡El mundo a tu manera!

Upon arrival, everyone asks about the “tapas” which are clearly finger-licking good, but do you know the history of their origin?

There are various stories with little evidence about the origin of tapas; interesting stories among which perhaps the authentic one is not found, but they make us curious about a casual topic.

For example, it is said that: King Alfonso XIII made a stop on his way to Cádiz to have a Jerez wine (I would love to do the same today!!!). While sitting on the terrace, the wind picked up, and the waiter covered his glass with a piece of bread and ham to prevent a “flying visitor from entering the liquid.”

Beyond this story, remember that tapas are an important part of Spanish gastronomic culture: simple, quick, and the best accompaniment for a good wine or beer.

Also, remember that all the historic centers of all the cities in Spain are full of excellent restaurants and century-old taverns, with a wide variety of traditional dishes that don’t have to be expensive.

I ask that when you travel through this country, don’t just search the internet, sometimes the locals give good recommendations.

In Spain, there are hundreds of charming and exquisite places where you can find lots of typical corners “to the consumer’s taste.” The important thing is to know what YOU like, and the internet DOESN’T know that.

What more can I say when a picture is worth a thousand words…

Until next time.
